I have an appointment with a technician in Brig to check my bicycle and to see whether he can resolve my engine problem.... my electric motor is dropping out when it is too highly charged....
He adjust my brakes, verifies my tires and rubber transmission belt but on the engine issue, he simply states : “this is normal and a wise measure to protect man and machine. When the motor fails, just take a brake of 15 minutes and continue your road afterwards...”
Expensive advice that comes with a ticket of 35 swiss francs for a minor intervention...
He also advices me to take the old Simplon pass, significantly less traffic but unfortunately also much steeper than the main road... Thinking about my engine issue, I decide to ignore his advice...
